York University’s Tracey Taylor-O’Reilly Wins Two Prestigious Awards

Female Executive of the Year and Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada

On October 25, 2021, York University announced that Tracey Taylor-O’Reilly, Assistant Vice-President of Continuing Studies, was named one of this year’s top 100 most powerful women in Canada by the Women's Executive Network (WXN). The Top 100 Awards, which were launched in 2003, celebrate the incredible accomplishments of Canada’s top female executive talent as well as their organizations and networks. Taylor-O’Reilly joined York University in 2013 where she founded and launched the new School of Continuing Studies in 2015, which is already one of the largest in Canada and an award-winning global leader in professional and English language programs. In its first five years, professional program enrolment grew 10-fold under her leadership. The School partners with employers to create innovative educational experiences designed to fill Canada’s most-pressing skills gaps.

If that was not impressive enough, on October 1, Tracey was also named Female Executive of the Year in the 18th Annual Stevie® Awards, which have been hailed as the world's premier business awards. Tracey was recognized as the Gold Award Winner in the Government or Non-Profit category for organizations with 2,500 or more employees. In total there were 1,500 nominees for the Stevie Awards for Women in Business from 35 countries, with winners being formally recognized at a global event in January.

Please join us in congratulating Tracey on these impressive recognitions.
