CAUCE 2020: Igniting innovation and entrepreneurship in continuing education
Continuing Education units across Canada and beyond are being called upon (or in some cases forced) to change, which is nothing new. What is new is the challenge of exponential increases in the speed at which expectations are changing.
Expectations are changing in many domains. We know from our own experience, colleagues and various research sources that learner expectations are changing, as are expectations from our own institutions, the industries, and communities we serve as well as from government. How could or should we respond to these changing expectations?
With this in mind, we are proposing a theme for CAUCE 2020 that incorporates the University of Calgary strategy and speaks to the need for new ideas and new solutions. Our theme asks us to explore new ways of approaching these challenges: with an entrepreneurial spirit and through innovation.
We are honored and excited to host CAUCE in 2020. The last time it was in Calgary was in 2003.
We look forward to hosting delegates from across Canada and to showcase the University of Calgary, our Continuing Education unit, as well as some of Calgary’s highlights.
