SASKATOON, May 1, 2023 - CAUCE, the leading association in Canada dedicated to university continuing education, announces the recipients of the 2023 Awards Program. The CAUCE Awards Program fosters and supports excellence in program development, management and administration. CAUCE stimulates and shares innovative approaches to program marketing, design, and development to help strengthen the position of its members within their institution and for society at large. CAUCE also recognize outstanding contributions to the field of university continuing education in Canada.
Award recipients will be honored at the 2023 CAUCE Annual Conference, May 17-19, in Winnipeg MB.
“We are extremely pleased with the quality and number of submissions we received from our institutional members for our annual awards program this year,” said Dr. Jo-Anne Clarke, Dean, Division of Continuing Studies, University of Victoria and Executive Liaison to the CAUCE Awards Committees. “Huge thanks to our Awards Committees for all their hard work judging the submissions this year and congratulations to all of the recipients.”
The recipeints of this year's Awards Program are as follows:
Honorary Membership Award is generally awarded at the conclusion of an individual’s career in University Continuing Education and is intended for those who have served the objectives of CAUCE in outstanding fashion.

Outstanding Service Award recognizes individuals for the demonstrated impact of their outstanding leadership, commitment, and service to university continuing education in Canada.
Recipients: Carmen Sicilia, Continuing Studies, McGill University and Barbara Tatarnic, Continuing Education and Outreach, Brock University
The Program Awards recognize excellence in university continuing education programs in Canada and aim to nurture the concept of the scholarship of practice inherent in the program development process.
