Current Issues in Micro-Credentials

Moving beyond the theoretical, the discussion will focus on pragmatic topics that are of significant interest for stakeholders at the time of the session.

This session will bring together panelists with expertise in different aspects of micro-credential development and implementation to discuss current issues in this area. Moving beyond the theoretical, the discussion will focus on pragmatic topics that are of significant interest for stakeholders at the time of the session. For example, these topics may be related to digital recognition and national portability of micro-credentials, outcomes of research on micro-credential pilots which demonstrate co-created value and successful PSE-industry partnership, the importance of educating the public and industry about micro-credentials, and unique ways micro-credentials can be used to “skillify” traditional academic programs and possibly even to further your institution’s EDDI goals.
