Preparing Continuing Education Instructors for Success in the Classroom

Learn how to support your instructors.

Continuing education units rely on the expertise of their contract instructor to enrich the learner’s learning experience by providing authentic connections to the workplace context. As a continuing education unit, recognizing that many of our instructors may not have formal training in teaching or facilitation, we have a responsibility to our learners to prepare, develop and support our instructors so that they can provide quality instruction to our learners.

In this webinar, we will highlight instructor support initiatives launched by Extended Education at the University of Manitoba, including onboarding, training and professional development in a variety of areas such as increasing student engagement and promoting academic integrity. In addition, we will share with you feedback received from instructors regarding the initiatives.
