The Importance of Research and Scholarship for the Field of Continuing Education

Application deadline for the Research Fund is April 15!

CE professionals are often underappreciated and under recognized as key influencers of the field of adult education. Funded research and creative works is a chance to have your voice and expertise heard.

The Research and Scholarship Committee invites you to a webinar to discuss the importance of research and scholarship in advancing the practice of Continuing Education and our own professional growth. CAUCE offers a range of opportunities to stretch our most important muscle – the mind. Whether you are just starting on your intellectual journey as a master’s or doctoral student, or in the middle of your career, or reflecting on a larger body of work as a senior thought leader in CE, there is an award waiting for you or someone you wish to nominate.  And for those of us with a penchant for out-of-the box thinking, consider the CE Applied Research and Creative Works Fund

We will show you how easy it is to submit an application and the kind of feedback and results you can expect.

What you’ll learn:

  • Why research, scholarship, and creative work is an important facet of our work
  • How entries are evaluated
  • What makes a strong (and manageable) submission
  • How submitting benefits you, your team, and your institution

You’ll also get:

  • A clear overview of the submission process
  • Live Q&A with members of the Research and Scholarship Committee

We can’t wait to help you to advance your contributions to knowledge creation!
