Annual Deans & Directors’ Meeting

February 25-26, 2027
Location: The Royal Sonesta Yorkville, Toronto

In late February of each year, we hold our annual Deans and Directors’ meeting. This meeting is a significant professional development opportunity for the leaders of our institutional membership to network and dialogue about continuing education issues and trends.

To keep our conversations intimate and relevant, the unit leader (Dean or Director) within our Institutional Membership Category, are invited to attend this meeting. The unit leader may invite an associate dean or director from within their unit to participate as a second registration (fee required) from their institution.

As always, the 2026 Deans and Directors’ meeting underscored the value of coming together: the informal conversations, the shared challenges, the laughs, and the collective problem‑solving.

– Jo-Anne Clarke, CAUCE Past-President

Theme 2027

CE Takes the Lead: Together. With Purpose.

Continuing education connects universities with the changing needs of learners, employers, and communities. In a pivotal year for our sector, we have an opportunity to own that space with confidence: to tell our story, demonstrate our impact, and lead the conversations and partnerships that shape what comes next.

Building on CAUCE’s strategic priorities, the 2027 Deans and Directors’ Meeting will bring CE leaders together to explore how we turn our collective expertise into greater visibility, influence, and action. Where should CE take the lead? What will it take to strengthen our position within our institutions and across Canada’s lifelong learning ecosystem? And what can we accomplish together that we cannot achieve alone?

Through candid peer conversations, exchanges with invited guests, and time to connect, participants will share bold ideas, challenge assumptions, and work through common opportunities and pressures. Expect room for honest discussion, fresh perspectives, and some fun as we identify our next moves. Bring your experience, your questions, and your voice. Together, let’s turn up the impact of CE.
