Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is often discussed in the context of accessibility and accommodation. While reducing barriers to learning is a crucial part of UDL, it is not the whole story.
In this webinar, we will explore UDL as a framework for fostering learner agency. Rather than simply offering more choices, effective UDL encourages thoughtful design that helps learners identify meaningful pathways toward achieving learning goals. We will examine how flexibility, structure, and learner autonomy work together to create inclusive environments that empower learners to take ownership of their learning journey. Through interactive activities, we will also explore ways to create opportunities for learners to exercise agency in their experience.
