Remote Delivery: Implications for Course Design

Part one of the two part series Moving your Courses to Remote Delivery

Moving your Courses to Remote Delivery

Part One of a Two Part Series

As we all prepare for what will be a very different Fall term, challenges are all around.  Many institutions are struggling to put together a cohesive alternative to in-class instruction that will help them serve their learners and communities...in just a couple of months! Where do we start?  How do we take advantage of our current technology to connect with our learners, share our content, and assess their work?  Even more importantly, how do we support our teaching staff to help them foster engagement in an online setting?

Session 1 – Remote Delivery: Implications for Course Design

This first webinar will identify key elements of a back-end course design strategy for remote delivery. The importance of the term “remote delivery” will be discussed, along with the implications that it has for both learners and instructors. The session will review how to optimize the organization of course content and how to adapt activities for remote delivery. Finally, it will discuss effective methods of communication and interaction with the learners.
