Partnerships in the 21st Century: Continuing Education’s Bright Future

At MRU, we've had considerable success with cooperative agreements, including our most recent partnership: Cannabis Education courses in alliance with Kwantlen Polytechnic. We have also brokered our own curricula, including our Project Management Program to Red Deer College and Medicine Hat College, plus we are proud of our shared Social Innovation Program co-created with MacEwan University.

MRU is consistently complimented and recognized as a strong partner—our industry identity and reputation are built on a passionate “student-first” ideology. We also enjoy the best practice discussions that always emerge when working with other institutions, as well as other strategic advantages and benefits of win-win agreements.

These partnerships have proven to be successful not only for MRU, but our partners as well. This presentation will share best practices and lessons learned around creating meaningful partnerships with other post-secondary institutions, credit faculties, industry and community and how these partnerships can create a more diverse tapestry not only for CE units, but the institution as a whole.
