Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) currently has an exciting new opportunity within the Assessment & Testing Services Department.  Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Business Development & Innovation, the Manager, Assessment & Testing Services will oversee all operations and business activities of the Assessment & Testing Services Centre to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and vision.  They will enforce adherence to legal guidelines and University policies and will be responsible for reviewing financial and non-financial reports to devise solutions and improvements. The Manager will establish goals for the Centre and will assist in creating and enforcing policies and procedures to ensure the smooth delivery of services.

The Person

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in business, education or a related field and will have a minimum 5 years related work experience in an educational institute, preferably related to testing and assessment.  Demonstrated track record in management of people, projects and budgets as well as knowledge of testing procedures and practices including computer based testing, test security procedures and confidentiality.  The candidate must have an exceptional customer service orientation with the ability to work effectively and cohesively in a team-based environment.  Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated initiative, professional and flexible.  A self-motivated individual that can act with diplomacy and tact, who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The Benefits

The salary range for this position is $62,700 to $72,100/year.  In addition, KPU offers a generous vacation entitlement as well as a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, extended health benefits, an annual health care spending account, life insurance, AD&D, and a defined benefit pension plan.  The incumbent will be eligible for professional development opportunities.
