The Opportunity

Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) currently has an exciting opportunity for a Divisional Business Manager to provide strategic administrative leadership to the Division of Continuing & Professional Studies.  Reporting to the Director, Continuing & Professional Studies and as an integral member of the administrative leadership team for Continuing & Professional Studies, the Divisional Business Manager is responsible for providing strategic administrative leadership to the department. He/she is accountable for the implementation and oversight of management, financial and human resources systems and controls to ensure the department operations are effective and efficient.

The Divisional Business Manager leads and manages processes associated with the planning and implementation of a variety of initiatives. He/she collaborates with the Director to foster positive and effective working relationships within the Department and the University community, as well as with external colleagues, agencies, institutions and government stakeholders.

The Divisional Business Manager collaborates with departments and Faculties to provide direction to department and staff for matters relating to operations, policy, systems, procedures, budget, and collective agreement interpretation. He/she works closely with Enrollment and Registrar Services, International Education, and other academic Faculties to ensure streamlined and effective enrollment management and program structures that meet the needs of students. 

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, and five to ten years of educational administrative experience in a relevant discipline with increasing levels of responsibility and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience

The Benefits

The salary range for this position is $74,000 – $89,100/year.  In addition, KPU offers a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, extended health benefits, an annual health care spending account, life insurance, AD&D, and a defined benefit pension plan.  The incumbent will be eligible for professional development opportunities.
